Because then we would never run out.
That dreaded second hand always seems to catch up,
And the time given is never enough.
"It's almost one in the morning," You say,
As you start to drift to sleep.
Cuddled up in your monochromatic coloured blankets,
Looking like the adorable angel you are.

I wish you would stay up late with me,
Although I understand staying up so late could be difficult.
But I would give anything to have the next morning never come,
So I could spend the rest of this beautiful Floridian evening with you.
So I could cuddle in your arms and whisper "I love you" to you like I always do,
Like I wouldn't be able to do for anyone else.
You're something special to me,
And I never want to let you go.
You're beautiful in every way and there's no way I could care for anyone else as much as you.

You know I have to go in the morning and you know I don't want to go.
I want to spend every moment I can awake
So I can see your beautiful face
Your forest green eyes closed and your breathing steady as you sleep soundly
I want to wrap my arms around you and hold you close
But that would make the struggle to staying awake so much harder.

Most of our time is spent staying up,
Watching lame movies and giggling and talking
As well as nuzzling together and saying I love you to each other
But to me, every moment spent like that is a moment never wasted.

I love you so much, my dear, I hope you see that.
Because sometimes I feel like I don't express it as much as I could.
